Up until June 15, 2019, Line 2 services were run fully automatic. Trains ran at 12 trains per hour (tph), which is a train every 5 minutes. This is to reduce lag on the server as there was 5 automatic lines in operation, however this amount has decreased. During its peak, it was having a frequency of 40 tph, which is every 1.5 minutes. | Up until June 15, 2019, Line 2 services were run fully automatic. Line 2 received a rolling stock upgrade in 2020 when automatic operation on the line was resumed. It currently uses M25EA with a design speed of 100km/h, and maximum speed of 90km/h (1.25b/t). This has cut down overall off-peak journey times by 20%. | Line 2 received a rolling stock upgrade in 2020 when automatic operation on the line was resumed. There is a crossover at City Hall for one-track operation. Besides, in the recent SOHO station upgrade, the tracks were replaced and two sidings in between the two through tracks are installed. The sidings are connected on both ends of the through tracks. Because of this, in 2016, trains from City Hall were able to terminate at SOHO or Parkroyal when the tracks at Parkroyal were damaged due to a track block disappearing magically. Passengers had to use replacement buses to commute between Parkroyal and La Resistance. Later on, the sidings were removed and replaced with a crossover at the end of SOHO's platforms were trains reverse outside the platforms then head back in to continue service back to Esplanade. This same process happens at Parkroyal in the same direction. Another crossover can be found at the bottom of the Parkroyal decent where trains at university can turn around and head back to Esplanade without disrupting the elevated section of the line. There is another crossover at La Resistance. This enabled works to extend the line to Esplanade to continue without disrupting the line. | There is a crossover at City Hall for one-track operation.
