The line starts at City Hall in tunnel, running south and turns left to arrive at Liberty. Tracks turn left again and ascend just before Stalingrad. The line then runs North-South along 7th Avenue in Wolfminster island above ground. Just after Parkroyal, trains descend into large twin-bore tunnels. Trains run in an East-West direction along 14th St. in the La Resistance CBD and eventually cross the WolvHaven Strait into Westford island, where it terminates at Esplanade.

At City Hall, it is in single-track alignment. The line is widened to two tracks, where all stations to Parkroyal have side platforms. From City Hall to Stalingrad, a single tunnel caters for two tracks. To the north of Parkroyal, the tunnels are large and separated. This enables University, Dakota and La Resistance stations to have island platforms. Beyond Dakota, the tracks are stacked where trains towards Esplanade run below the trains coming from Esplanade. This is to allow cross-platform interchange between Line 2 and [[Metro Line 3 (4th Haven)|Line 3]] passengers. Line 2 passengers may cross over to Line 3 towards Parkroyal while Line 3 passengers may cross over to Line 2 towards City Hall.

The WolvHaven Metro Line 2 uses the latest M25CA stock and is fully automatic. Service reliability of Metro Line 2 is 90% unlike the troublesome [[Metro Line 1 (4th Haven)|Metro Line 1]] which has a service reliability of 50% before its recent upgrade. Unlike the other Metro Lines, line 2 was the first in WolvHaven history to run trains at a set interval of 1.5mins in between each train. This has inspired Line 1 to make the switch from running trains at the closest interval at all times to a set interval as well.
