With the retirement of NewHaven, the third incarnation of WolvHaven, some time during the November of 2013, city planners brought up the need to have a rail-based urban transport system to help players get around the city. The WolvHaven Metro has 3 modes of operation: Automatic, Semi-Automatic and Manual

====Automatic ====

Automatic lines operate 24 hours daily, with trains running at set intervals usually at 5 minute intervals. Most Metro Lines were originally automatic and operated more frequently, with frequencies as low as 90 seconds. However, as performance requirements of the game and traincarts increased, the server was unable to cope with the large number of trains operating. Today, automatic lines mostly operate regularly at 5 minute intervals up to 10 minutes, and are suspended should the server experience extremely low Ticks per Second (TPS).

====Semi-Automatic====

Semi-Automatic lines work similar to most minecraft metro systems where a user calls or requests a train, and a train is spawned for the user. Empty trains are cleared at the end of the line or after each station.

====Manual====

The WolvHaven Metro is unique in a sense where it also offers manual operation. Players may drive trains after obtaining a license by passing a test on train driving. Players have to manually control the speed of the trains and ensure that they come to a complete stop in the right position in the station. They also have to control the speed of the trains which was a major concern back in 2016 as a bug in traincarts would derail trains should they enter downhill slopes at speeds greater than 30mBP/T

The WolvHaven Metro operates 24 hours daily, with monthly maintenance checks on each line, leaving metro services shut down for a complete day, monthly. However, during moments of extremely low TPS on the server, all automatic metro lines are to be shut down, with commuters being left with three options: commuting via bus, riding the BERT, or on manual metro lines.

The design of the stations follow closely to the stations of the Pyongyang and Moscow Metro as they are grand, large, spacious and open. The WolvHaven Metro is one of WolvHaven's architectural Treasures. Featuring grand, magnificent and spacious stations (such as City Hall and Palais De Royal), the WolvHaven Metro is one of the architectural achievements of the city. The design of the stations follow closely to the stations of the Pyongyang and Moscow Metro as they are grand, large, spacious and open. [[File:CityHallStn.png|thumb|City Hall Station - The "Grand Central" of Wolv Haven]] Each station is different in the WolvHaven Metro. The stations are designed by SilverWolv with the help of Green_Adventurer and TheSitherin for the interiors. This gives server citizens opportunities to contribute something to the city and help out as there are usually a lack of opportunities for which users can join the project and help out.

+Automatic lines operate 24 hours daily, with trains running at set intervals usually at 5 minute intervals. Most Metro Lines were originally automatic and operated more frequently, with frequencies as low as 90 seconds. However, as performance requirements of the game and traincarts increased, the server was unable to cope with the large number of trains operating. Today, automatic lines mostly operate regularly at 5 minute intervals up to 10 minutes, and are suspended should the server experience extremely low Ticks per Second (TPS).

+Semi-Automatic lines work similar to most minecraft metro systems where a user calls or requests a train, and a train is spawned for the user. Empty trains are cleared at the end of the line or after each station.

Players have to manually control the speed of the trains and ensure that they come to a complete stop in the right position in the station.
