Since [[Gardellia]]'s opening in 2016, popularity of the SandBox had fallen to an all-time low, the playerbase had shifted towards one that valued the ability to create entire towns or cities instead of individual creative builds.

The SandBox was intended as a supplement to the server's then survival-focused playerbase, which has since dwindled, and no longer met the needs of the creative-focused playerbase today.

== Replacement ==

Announced in [[Vision 2023]], the server set out the termination and closure of the SandBox. Among the reasons cited was its downfall. In its replacement was to be a new creative world to serve a segment of the community which the current [[Gardellia]] and [[Calidia]] would serve.

The new creative world would be of natural generation and allow players to build anything they wanted, similar to the SandBox without the restrictions for proper city building like the other two creative worlds.{{WolvHavenDivisionNavbox}}
